A Promising Development:
Afghans swear to kill Taliban if they encroach into their village.
Civlian "militias" sprout up, armed with weapons they never before had, to combat Taliban.
I like to see this happening. It's what's progressive. Talking to the Taliban is clearly, indubitably useless, like talking to sharks, so... HEY! Does the Afghan constitution guarantee the right to bear arms? THAT's the key to defeating the Taliban- by armed attrition by civilians. How, of course, can the Taliban rule when the citizenry who oppose them are armed and ready to shoot?
Makes one think about how Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro et al, how they all banned gun ownership by civilians, on the false pretense of "making society safer". "Safer"... for whom? Hmm?
An armed citizenry is the best deterrent and defence against tyranny. Governments will be less likely to "go too far" if they know that they cannot.

Harper Demonstrates When It's OK To Bow

Wonder if Obama will bow when he meets, on the other hand, a Tamil Tiger, like, y'know, ex-Liberal PM Paul Martin wined and dined with? Doesn't Obama understand that one is only supposed to bow to GOOD people, not bad people?

But should a Christian mention Jesus, well, that's just unacceptable, because "someone might be offended".

Far-leftwing extremist bigot "artist" refuses to shake PM's hand. No valid reason given, other than "disagreement". Oh? Does the dumbass kid refuse to shake everyone's hand, with whom he has disagreements?
Say, if he disagrees with Obama on anything, will he be fair and refuse to shake Obama's hand, too?

Even I wouldn't refuse to shake hands with Obama, no matter how much I realize what a tyrannical p.o.s. Obama is. I, in fact, recently shook Liberal NB Premier Shawn Graham's hand, even though I'm unimpressed with his neo-communist policies and agenda.
The kid's a pussy and has only succeeded in giving other Progs an even worse image, though after what happened in T.O. recently rather trumps the handshake-refusal for bringing down "progressivism" in the eyes of the majority-consensus of Canadians.
