According to an ongoing project to track relative happiness and sadness in Americans, the residents of Alabama's 1st and 4th Congressional Districts are the least happy in the state, and those in the 2nd and the 6th District are the happiest. The folks who live in the Florida panhandle are markedly happier than their neighbors across the line in Alabama.
And overall, it appears people who live in the less populated states are happier than those in heavily populated areas.
