The Yellowstone Valdez

A pipe carrying oil for Exxon has polluted a stretch of the Yellowstone River in Montana.

It took the company 12.5 hours to shut down the leaking pipeline under the riverbed.

Aren't there supposed to be cutoff valves along pipelines like that? Did someone lose the key?

Here's a website that details all of the major oil spills.
